Job Description:

HOMESCHOOL SCIENCE TEACHER: Grades 1 & 2

Academy Charter School’s Homeschool Support Program is seeking an enthusiastic teacher for our Homeschool Science classes at our Castle Rock, Parker, and Highlands Ranch locations. The ideal candidate will provide an enriching and motivating Science program for our students. This is a part-time position. View our Homeschool Calendar HERE.

Position Specific Information (if Applicable):

Responsibilities:

• Strong knowledge of Elementary Science standards, skills and curriculum

• Ability to plan and teach lessons rich in experiments and demonstrations

• Strong classroom management skills

• Flexibility and willingness to work in non-conventional classroom setting

Qualifications:

• Hold a current Colorado Teaching License

• Expert-level written and oral communication skills

• Ability to work collaboratively

• Strong self-starter; able to work with limited direction

• Able to work Tuesday/Thursday 7:45-3:45 and Wednesday 8:15-3:45

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous successful teaching experience

• Experience in and knowledge of charter schools

Salary: $27,000 - $32,000
