Adjunct Instructor in Political Science – American Politics

The Department of Political Science at Saint Louis University seeks applicants for an adjunct position in American politics starting in August 2026 for the Fall 2026 semester.

The successful candidate will teach an introductory course in American politics. Previous teaching experience and a PhD in Political Science are preferred, but ABD candidates will be considered.

ADJUNCT FACULTY UNION INFORMATION

On May 2, 2017, adjunct faculty members in the College of Arts and Sciences and School of Education represented by the Service Employees International Union Local 1 (SEIU) voted to ratify a five-year collective bargaining agreement with Saint Louis University.

The contract reflects Saint Louis University's ongoing commitment to its faculty, staff, and students.  It builds upon the strong foundation established by Saint Louis University while providing the flexibility needed to address organizational and programmatic changes as part of the ongoing operational excellence program.
