• Assess pharmaceutical submissions against requirements for NZ and internationally
• Range of $83,586 to $92,874 dependent on skills and experience
Ko tōu ake mahi - What you’ll do
As an Advisor within this team, you will provide high quality advice on the quality, safety and efficacy of new and changed medicines. This involves assessing technical dossiers submitted by pharmaceutical companies against local and international requirements and guidelines. You will also contribute to other activities of the Product Regulation branch.
• Assess and provide high‑quality technical advice on pharmaceutical dossiers against local and international requirements
• Communicate complex information clearly to diverse audiences, including industry, health professionals, and advisory committees
• Deliver work to agreed standards and timeframes, managing priorities effectively
• Lead and contribute to key work programmes and projects, collaborating across teams and the wider Ministry
• Build capability and continuous improvement, mentoring advisors and strengthening processes, tools, and ways of working

• Ability to pull together clear ideas and conclusions from large amounts of technical data
• Experience or interest in working in a regulatory environment
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Ability to apply critical thinking and risk assessment in problem solving
• A team player with the ability to build effective work relationships
• Tertiary / postgraduate qualification in chemistry, pharmacology, health or life science field
