This role is hybrid (2 days in-office) for Uruguay-based candidates and Remote for Argentina-based ones.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Senior Platform Engineer at AirOps, you’ll help design and deliver core features across our AI-powered platform. In particular, this role will take ownership of a key initiative to expand and improve our Developer tooling —making it easier for our devs to connect to the tools they already use and enabling new, powerful workflows. You’ll work closely with Product and DX to understand needs, prioritize capabilities, and deliver seamless, reliable integrations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Maintain and manage VPC configuration (solid knowledge required)

- Maintain ECS services (solid knowledge required)

- Migrate ECS from AWS to Terraform to enable developers to modify infrastructure through PRs (requires solid understanding; expertise not mandatory, but must be able to work autonomously)

- Develop scripts to implement review apps with ECS

- Manage Roles and Permissions (user-level and resource-level) in AWS (basic understanding required; expertise not mandatory)

- Maintain the Ruby script that enables developers to set up the platform locally

- Improve and iterate on the GitHub CI/CD pipeline

- Ensure the application meets SOC-2 compliance requirements

- Own and improve key parts of the application—from performance to architecture

- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in AI, data, and web technologies

- Contribute to a strong culture of experimentation, iteration, and shipping fast

QUALIFICATIONS:

- 5+ years of experience building production-ready software across the stack

- Proficiency in Ruby on Rails

- Familiarity with CI/CD and cloud platforms (AWS, Heroku, Vercel, ECS)

- Experience with observability tools like Datadog or Sentry

- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and system design principles

- Experience building or maintaining third-party integrations is a plus

- Product-minded: able to balance engineering quality with pragmatic trade-offs to move fast

- Interest in or experience with Generative AI and related technologies

- Demonstrated initiative and aptitude to make independent decisions and resolve complex challenges in a remote environment

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
