About this role

Healthcare’s helping hand.

CHG shook things up in 1979 by inventing the locum tenens staffing model. We connect doctors with patients who need their care. As the largest physician staffing firm in America, our providers treat millions of patients each year.

Our industry is growing and demand is high. This means you’ll have plenty of opportunities to grow and develop in your career. Keeping healthcare healthy can be as fun as it is rewarding

The Data & Analytics team is looking for an Analytics Engineer to join us and help build the data foundation that powers decision-making across CHG’s marketing and provider strategy. This role sits at the intersection of data engineering and analytics. You’ll work closely with engineers, analysts, and stakeholders across the organization, bringing both technical depth and a genuine curiosity about the business problems behind the data.

We’re looking for someone who takes real ownership of their work, communicates openly, and brings a collaborative spirit to hard problems. You’ll be a part of shaping how we model and serve data, including how we incorporate AI tooling into our analytics workflows and the support of a team that values craft, humility, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

• Help define and standardize key business metrics in collaboration with stakeholders
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports that give business teams reliable, selfserve access to the metrics that matter most to them
• Build and maintain semantic layer views that serve as the trusted, centralized definitions of key business metrics
• Use AI-assisted development tools to improve the speed and quality of data modeling work and for documentation generation, anomaly detection, and surfacing insights from complex datasets
• Partner closely with analysts and business stakeholders to understand data needs and translate them into durable, reusable solutions
• Serve as a trusted resource for analysts and downstream consumers
• Communicate clearly across technical and non-technical audiences, making complex data concepts accessible without oversimplifying them

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in SQL
• Hands-on experience with dbt (Core or Cloud) building and maintaining models in production
• Experience building or working with semantic layer views to centralize and standardize key business metric definitions
• Solid understanding of dimensional modeling, data warehouse design, and ELT patterns
• Experience with a cloud data warehouse (Snowflake preferred)
• Experience with BI tools (Looker, Tableau, or Power BI) and how downstream users consume data
• Practical experience using AI tools to enhance productivity, improve data workflows, or accelerate development
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively across technical and business teams

Education & Experience

• 3–5 years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or a hybrid analyst/engineer role
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
• Demonstrated experience delivering analytical data products that are actively used by business teams
