Analytics Engineering Manager
About this role
Accountabilities:
• Own and evolve the organization’s BI platform and semantic layer, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and long-term scalability
• Define and enforce best practices for analytics engineering, including data modeling, metric definitions, and reporting standards
• Oversee the development, performance, and reliability of enterprise dashboards and reporting solutions
• Collaborate closely with data engineering teams to influence upstream data models and ensure alignment with analytics needs
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to align on shared metrics and enable data-driven decision-making
• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of analytics engineers, fostering technical excellence and collaboration
• Drive adoption of self-service analytics through curated datasets, documentation, and governance frameworks
Requirements:
• 6–8+ years of experience in analytics engineering, business intelligence, or data modeling roles
• Strong expertise in SQL and dimensional modeling, with the ability to design scalable semantic layers
• Proven experience working with modern BI tools (e.g., Looker) and data platforms (e.g., lakehouse or warehouse technologies)
• Demonstrated leadership experience, including mentoring or managing technical teams
• Strong analytical thinking with the ability to translate complex data into meaningful business insights
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams
• Ability to influence data architecture decisions without direct ownership of data pipelines
• High emotional intelligence and a collaborative mindset when aligning diverse stakeholder perspectives
