About this opportunity:
The Department of Biology at Ball State University invites applications for a full-time non- tenure line (contract) faculty position in Science Education (Biology).
Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
What you'll do and what you will bring:
The primary responsibilities include teaching undergraduate courses in science education, particularly those focused on teaching science in elementary school settings, partnering with schools and community agencies, and performing other duties as assigned by the Department Chairperson.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Teach undergraduate courses in Science Education in Biology, including courses focused on elementary education science teaching.
• Engage with local schools and community agencies to support teacher preparation and experiential learning opportunities.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Department Chairperson.
Minimum Qualifications
• Master’s degree in education or a related field from an accredited institution by date of appointment.
Preferred Qualifications
• Doctoral degree in Science Education or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Experience teaching at the university level.
• Demonstrated knowledge of and experience working with diverse learners.
• Experience partnering with schools and/or community agencies.
