Job Description Summary:
The Material Master Assistant Manager is responsible for end-to-end governance, maintenance, and optimization of Material Master and related master data (e.g., BOM, vendor, and plant-specific data) across the organization. This role ensures data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with corporate and system standards to enable reliable real-time reporting and operational execution. The role collaborates cross-functionally with multiple teams to support business continuity, system enhancements, and data-driven decision-making at the right time.
Job Description:
Essential Functions
• Create, review, and approve Material Master and Bill of Materials (BOM) changes in SAP/ERP systems, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with governance standards.
• Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Material Master data, supporting business users with technical guidance, issue resolution, and root-cause analysis.
• Manage the full material lifecycle (creation, extension, change, inactivation), ensuring alignment with business rules and audit requirements.
• Monitor and improve data quality through KPIs, validation rules, and periodic audits, proactively identifying risks and corrective actions.
• Lead and support master data governance activities, including documentation, standardization, and process enhancement initiatives
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to reduce manual effort, eliminate data issues, and improve system efficiency.

QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field
• 2–4 years of hands‑on experience in Material Master Data Management, SAP MM, or equivalent ERP systems.
• Strong understanding of supply chain processes, material lifecycle management, and data governance concepts.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Highly detail‑oriented with strong analytical, organizational, and time‑management skills
• Ability to translate business requirements into system logic and data rules
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (PivotTables, data validation, basic analysis).
• Experience working in cross‑functional and fast‑paced environments. – Preferred.
• SAP ECC or S/4HANA Material Management (MM) experience – Preferred
• Experience supporting system projects, data migration, or MDM initiatives – Preferred.

The anticipated compensation range is
22.75 - 44.50 USD HourlyActual compensation will be determined based on various factors including qualifications, education, experience, and location. The pay range is subject to change at any time dependent on a variety of internal and external factors.
