About This Role: As the Associate Director of Compliance & Content Optimization, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Patient Services at Biogen. You will be responsible for the design, coordination, and execution of internal compliance and content management activities for our Patient Services teams and external vendors. Your expertise will ensure that interactions with patients and healthcare professionals meet rigorous regulatory standards, safeguarding compliance with HIPAA, privacy, and direct-to-consumer requirements. Leading the content management team, you will create customer-friendly materials that align with strategic goals, enhancing patient support and advancing content management approaches. This position is vital for ensuring scalable digital expansion and driving improvements in material management while working closely with cross-functional partners in Safety, Regulatory, Legal, and Commercial Compliance.

What You’ll Do:

• Develop and manage the quality assurance and monitoring program for Patient Services and vendors, focusing on privacy and consent management.
• Partner with Patient Services leadership to identify risk areas and develop privacy monitoring activities.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to identify industry risk areas and create monitoring programs.
• Manage compliance monitoring and processes related to consent, confidentiality, and patient privacy.
• Ensure consent terms align with current privacy requirements, providing guidance on opt and caregiver privacy needs.
• Oversee system and documentation requirements to uphold consent and privacy standards.
• Manage high-risk compliance areas such as PV, REMS, monitoring, and reporting needs.
• Submit and approve documents for PRC, representing Patient Services in concept reviews to drive modernization.
• Lead a team to optimize Talking Points and patient-facing materials, enhancing interactions.
• Ensure efficient management of the end-to-end PRC process, proposing modern AI-driven solutions for digital content management.
• Oversee tagging, structure, and taxonomy of the knowledge management system.
• Build and manage a high-performing team, fostering development opportunities and maintaining high employee engagement.

Required Skills:

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• 8+ years of experience in Patient Services, Patient Experience, Commercial Operations, Healthcare Strategy, or related fields.
• 3+ years of experience in Content Creation & Management, including cross-functional review processes for promotional content.
• 2+ years of experience in Patient Compliance, with recent experience managing patient privacy & HIPAA requirements.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in leading teams with a strong focus on employee development and engagement.
• Familiarity with AI-driven solutions for digital content management.
• Strong understanding of scalable digital expansion strategies in healthcare compliance.

Job Level: Management
Additional Information

The base compensation range for this role is: $149,000.00-$205,000.00
Base salary offered is determined through an analytical approach utilizing a combination of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills & experience, job location, and internal equity.
