Position Summary:
This non-student hourly position supports research in the Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Department at CSU, providing undergraduate students with hands-on training in cell and molecular biology techniques. The worker will assist with the production of recombinant antibodies and carry out routine cell culture maintenance under the supervision of laboratory personnel.

Required Job Qualifications:
• Completion of, or current enrollment in, introductory Biology and Chemistry coursework, including associated laboratory sections.
• Prior experience in an academic or professional laboratory setting.
• Experience with sterile technique and basic cell culture practices.
• Experience with Fluorescence Microscopy and general microscope use.
• Experience in media preparation
Essential Duties:
• Maintain mammalian cell cultures using aseptic technique
• Assist with the production and purification of recombinant antibodies
• Perform immunofluorescence staining and imaging assays
• Support general laboratory upkeep including reagent preparation and equipment maintenance.
