Job Summary
This position is responsible for development of business intelligence (BI) capabilities to support the operations of the Network Performance Group (NPG). This may include, but is not limited to, the creation of interactive dashboards, reports, simple analyses, managing data, creation of custom datasets, and needed documentation. The incumbent will provide critical functions needed to inform executive and clinical leaders on quality and patient safety, supporting performance improvement activities, research, and/or clinical operations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelors degree in Informatics, Epidemiology, Computer Science, Statistics or a related field Required - Masters Preferred
• Proficiency with Power BI desktop and online service, including data modeling, Power Query and writing custom DAX expressions Required
• Experience creating intuitive dashboards, interactive visual reports, scorecards etc. using Power BI or other visualization tool Required
• Experience with data analysis in health care or related field Required
• Strong ability to understand, categorize, and translate business/user requirements to functional technical requirements Required
• Excellent interpersonal and writing skills Required
• Ability to work as part of a highly collaborative team Required
• Experience programming in SQL Preferred
• Experience creating and managing complex dataflows Preferred
• Experience with clinical coding systems (e.g., ICD-10, LOINC, CPT, etc) Preferred
• Experience working with various types of health care data Preferred
• Experience working with EPIC electronic medical record and related clinical databases Preferred
• Experience implementing row level security on data and have an understanding of application security layer models in Power BI Preferred
