Business Intelligence (BI) Architect
About this role
Accountabilities:
• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise data models (conceptual, logical, and physical) supporting clinical, financial, and operational analytics.
• Architect scalable data warehousing and data mart solutions, including dimensional models and semantic layers optimized for reporting and self-service analytics.
• Lead integration and structuring of Epic data (Clarity, Caboodle) and other healthcare data sources into enterprise analytics platforms.
• Oversee ETL/ELT processes, ensuring reliable, efficient, and well-documented data pipelines across systems.
• Develop and support BI reporting solutions using tools such as Power BI, enabling actionable insights for clinical and business stakeholders.
• Establish data quality, governance, metadata, and lineage frameworks to ensure consistency, accuracy, and compliance across datasets.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate complex business and clinical requirements into scalable data architecture solutions.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• 10+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, data architecture, or analytics engineering roles.
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience with Epic analytics products in a healthcare environment.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with ETL/ELT tools and data pipeline development.
• Experience designing and supporting BI platforms such as Power BI or similar enterprise reporting tools.
• Deep understanding of data warehousing, dimensional modeling, and enterprise analytics architecture.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in cross-functional, healthcare-focused teams.
• Experience with AI, machine learning, or advanced analytics is a strong plus.
