The Business Intelligence Manager plays a key role in driving data-driven decision making across the organization, acting as a strategic partner for senior stakeholders at global and regional level.
With a strong background in the pharmaceutical industry and solid experience, the role is expected to lead complex analytics and market intelligence projects end-to-end, operating with high autonomy and serving as a role model for analytical rigor, business acumen and collaborative leadership.
The position requires the ability to influence without authority, manage demanding stakeholders, and translate complex data into clear, actionable insights that support strategic and operational decisions.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Business & Market Intelligence
• Lead advanced business, market and competitive intelligence analyses to support global and regional decision making
• Develop and continuously improve insight frameworks, dashboards and analytical tools to monitor performance, trends and risks
• Translate complex datasets into clear, concise and actionable recommendations for senior management
• Contribute to capability building within the BI team and the broader organization
Competitive & Market Intelligence
• Lead competitive intelligence activities, including competitor benchmarking, pipeline analysis, launch scenarios and impact assessment
• Support strategic planning processes (e.g. long-term forecasts, business plans, portfolio discussions)
Stakeholder Management & Influence
• Act as a trusted partner for all global functions (Marketing, Sales, Market Access, Finance, Medical, Digital, IT, …) and as a reference point for analytical excellence, structured thinking and data storytelling
• Proactively engage senior stakeholders, challenge assumptions and influence decisions through evidence-based insights
• Manage high-expectation internal clients, ensuring alignment, clarity and impact of deliverables
Project Leadership & Autonomy
• Own BI and analytics projects end-to-end, from problem framing to insight delivery
• Manage multiple priorities in parallel with limited supervision
• Coordinate internal and external contributors (research agencies, data providers, consultants)
Education & Experience
• Degree in Statistics, Economics, Engineering, Marketing, Life Sciences or related fields
• 6+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Market Intelligence, Competitive Intelligence or Analytics
• Solid experience in the pharmaceutical (or closely related healthcare) industry
• Proven track record in global or regional roles with exposure to senior stakeholders
• Strong experience working in complex, cross-functional and matrix organizations
• Fluency in English is mandatory, fluency in Italian is a plus

• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to structure complex problems
• Experience with market research, forecasting, analytics and data interpretation
• Hands-on experience with BI and visualization tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau)
• Strong data storytelling and presentation skills

• Demonstrated ability to lead without formal authority, influencing through credibility and example
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, including the ability to handle challenging and demanding counterparts
• High level of autonomy, accountability and ownership
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written), with the ability to adapt messages to different audiences
