Construction Project Manager (AI) at Handoff
We’re hiring a Construction Project Manager (AI) to own the quality of our automated construction drawing takeoffs and the automated estimates/material lists we produce. In this role you’ll ensure that takeoffs, scopes, and material/SKU matching meet customer-specific standards and can be executed quickly and accurately in the field. Our clients are large construction material suppliers and general contractors. We focus on residential and will branch into commercial. You’ll be managing other estimators who are performing quality control on estimates.

We’re hiring a Construction Project Manager (AI) to own the quality of our automated construction drawing takeoffs and the automated estimates/material lists we produce. In this role you’ll ensure that takeoffs, scopes, and material/SKU matching meet customer-specific standards and can be executed quickly and accurately in the field. Our clients are large construction material suppliers and general contractors. We focus on residential and will branch into commercial. You’ll be managing other estimators who are performing quality control on estimates.

O que você vai fazer

• Garantir a qualidade dos orçamentos e takeoffs: ser a principal ponte entre a Handoff e nossos clientes, garantindo que os orçamentos estejam corretos, completos e alinhados às expectativas de cada cliente.

• Criar processos de QA: desenvolver critérios e sistemas para checar precisão de escopo, quantidades, materiais, SKUs e preferências específicas de cada cliente.

• Garantir prazos de entrega: coordenar a entrega de orçamentos em até 48 horas para clientes enterprise, incluindo projetos residenciais e comerciais, tanto new construction quanto remodels.

• Criar listas detalhadas de materiais: revisar e montar estimativas em nível de material, incluindo itens como studs, revestimentos, acabamentos, conectores, fixadores, adesivos, consumíveis e outros materiais necessários.

• Adaptar orçamentos aos requisitos dos clientes: garantir que os outputs estejam alinhados a SKUs específicos, tamanhos, especificações técnicas, marcas preferidas, product lines, cores e acabamentos.

• Liderar comunicação com clientes: conversar com contractors, fornecedores e outros clientes por telefone, videochamada ou mensagem, explicando capacidades, limitações, prazos e expectativas.

• Gerenciar estimators/orçamentistas: coordenar o trabalho de profissionais que fazem QA de drawings, takeoffs e estimates, garantindo qualidade e velocidade.

• Apoiar o treinamento de computer vision: orientar o time que anota desenhos de construção e ajudar a definir regras sobre como plantas devem ser interpretadas para treinar modelos de visão computacional.

• Trabalhar junto com engenharia e produto: colaborar diretamente com machine learning engineers, AI engineers e full-stack developers para traduzir boas práticas de construção em melhorias no produto.

• Criar e revisar test cases: produzir estimates de referência para testes internos e revisar estimates gerados por IA, identificando problemas de escopo, quantidade, material ou formatação.

• Investigar erros e melhorar performance: analisar orçamentos imprecisos, encontrar root causes e ajudar a evitar que os mesmos erros se repitam.

• Gerenciar eficiência operacional: garantir que o processo de criação e revisão dos estimates continue dentro das metas de custo, qualidade e velocidade.

Sobre você

• 3+ anos de experiência em construção residencial, seja em reformas, construção do zero, obras residenciais em escala, casas customizadas, design-build, single-family ou multifamily.

• Experiência prática lendo desenhos de construção e fazendo takeoffs, idealmente usando ferramentas como PlanSwift, PrebuiltML, OST ou Bluebeam.

• Familiaridade com softwares de orçamento, gestão de obra ou construção, como Buildertrend, JobTread ou Procore.

• Interesse em migrar de uma função tradicional de construção para um papel mais próximo de produto, software e AI, dentro de uma startup.

• Ownership e senso de urgência: você deve conseguir assumir a responsabilidade final pela qualidade dos estimates e representar bem a Handoff diante de clientes.

• Experiência prática em campo ou em algum trade é um grande diferencial. Valorizamos pessoas que já tenham atuado como foreman, installer, inspector, electrician, carpenter, plumber, technician, QA specialist ou funções similares.

• Entendimento sólido dos workflows de construção residencial de ponta a ponta — da fundação aos acabamentos.

• Experiência trabalhando próximo de times de software, produto ou engenharia.

• Experiência em construtoras residenciais de volume ou fornecedores de materiais de construção.

• Familiaridade com AI, automação ou ferramentas digitais aplicadas à construção.
