Job Description
Your Challenge:
As a Consumer Researcher Lead you will lead a team of consumer researchers responsible for
representing the user within the R&D organization for the Beauty product
category and ensuring the delivery of consumer promises from our value propositions.
Your role:
• The mission of Consumer Research is to uncover consumer needs and tensions, and to translate, test, and validate these insights throughout the innovation process. This role uses a range of UX and user research methods to inform value proposition definition, feature development, and digital-enabled solutions, through to final product development and launch. A strong consumer-centric mindset is essential to ensure innovations are grounded in real consumer needs and deliver on the Philips brand promise: “Better care for more people”.
• You will lead and develop a best-in-class team of ambitious consumer researchers across several projects in the category. For the R&D program of the category, you will define and manage a clear approach to validating consumer insights across projects, using the right methods for the job (Qual, Quant, hybrid). You will align projects and share insights with stakeholders, support strong and substantiated marketing claims, and ensure user satisfaction throughout the product lifecycle, from development through launch and beyond.

You're the right fit if:
• You have > 8 years’ working experience in user research, consumer science, industrial design, psychology in the domain of product or service development. You are experienced in managing research programs for Beauty.
• Leadership skills; people management & coaching. Project management / stakeholder management. Strong planning skills and soft skills.
• You are experienced in UX/UI design, UX research (qualitative & quantitative), and have a broad understanding of consumer research methodologies and the underlying statistics
• You are curious and empathetic towards users & customers; have a proactive attitude, can take the lead and represent the end-user in our innovation process.
• Focused on solving challenges and providing timely, quality deliverables.
