Contract Manager, Operations & Health Data Analytics (12 months contract)

Job Responsibilities:

1. Data Engineering & Asset Development

• Architect and maintain centralised, trusted data assets across Underwriting & New Business, Operations, Claims, and Health.
• Build and orchestrate ETL/ELT pipelines, adopting modular, testable, and reusable components.
• Implement data quality, lineage, and governance frameworks, ensuring auditability and transparency.

2. Code & Pipeline Management (IT Best Practices)

• Introduce and enforce version control, branching strategies, CI/CD pipelines, and code review processes.
• Drive adoption of Databricks, SQL, Python or Spark‑based frameworks, aligned with enterprise tech direction.
• Establish reusable templates, coding standards, and documentation processes for scalable team development.

3. Analytics & FWA Enablement

• Act as the custodian of all FWA rules and detection mechanisms—including JET engines, red‑flag libraries, and GHO tooling—managing them systematically to ensure full traceability, transparency, and auditability
• Partner with Claims SMEs to embed analytics into BAU workflows and strengthen end‑to‑end monitoring.

4. Automation & Operational Efficiency

• Lead automation initiatives to retire manual reporting, streamline repetitive tasks, and integrate operational dashboards.
• Develop Power BI or equivalent self‑service reports—productionised, governable, and refresh‑safe.

5. Cross‑Functional Collaboration

• Work closely within Operations, as well as Technology & Product teams 
• Partner with IT, Architecture, and Data Governance to ensure compliance with enterprise standards.
• Act as a liaison between business users and technical teams, translating operational needs into scalable solutions.

Job Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of data engineering, SQL, Databricks, pipelines, and cloud‑based analytics platforms.
• Experience with software development practices, including CI/CD, DevOps workflows, and structured SDLC.
• Proficiency in Python, Spark, or equivalent analytics toolsets.
• Experience as a technology-facing manager with exposure to solution delivery and product‑centric teams 
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate across departments.
• Comfort working in complex enterprise systems and supporting technology adoption.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills, especially interpreting business requirements into technical solutions.
• Experience in Claims, Health Operations, or FWA analytics is an advantage (but not mandatory if strong technical background is present).
