Data Analyst
About this role
Are you motivated by turning complex data into clear, actionable insights? At BDR Thermea Group, you’ll work at the heart of our data transformation – helping teams across Europe make better, faster decisions that support the energy transition.
Your role
As a Data Analyst in our Enterprise Data Analytics team, you’ll play a key role in building scalable data models, unlocking insights from large datasets, and improving how data is used across functions like sales, procurement, and supply chain. This is a hands-on role where your work directly contributes to business performance and continuous improvement.
You translate business needs into reliable data solutions and work end-to-end: from understanding requirements to building data models and delivering meaningful insights. You act as an important link between business and IT, helping ensure data is structured, accessible, and ready to support decision-making.
Your role is hybrid, based in Apeldoorn, the Netherlands. We value flexibility and collaboration: you're encouraged to spend at least two days per week in our office while enjoying the support for your home office set-up and travel costs.
Your team
You’ll join our Enterprise Data Analytics (EDA) team within our Group Finance department. The team plays a central role in strengthening data maturity across the organisation and works closely with stakeholders across multiple European operating companies (OpCos) and central Group teams.
We collaborate in a pragmatic, agile way – working from a shared backlog, partnering with our Group Data Engineering team, and supporting each other across projects. Ownership is flexible: depending on the project, you may take the lead or contribute alongside Business Analysts and other Data Analysts.
Your key tasks
• Translate business requirements into data-driven solutions
• Design and develop scalable data models
• Build clear and user-friendly reports and dashboards in Power BI
• Contribute to continuous improvements in BI architecture and data quality
• Collaborate with colleagues and the Data Engineering team to onboard new data and new data sources
• Develop understanding of business processes, systems, and strategy
• Perform analyses to uncover trends, patterns, and opportunities
• Contribute to cross-functional projects, including large-scale data initiatives (such as enterprise data modelling)
What you bring

• Ability to translate complex data into clear insights
• A structured and curious approach to problem-solving
• Familiarity with BI tools such as Power BI
• Comfortable clearly articulating ideas in English, particularly in an international setting
• Interest in understanding the business context behind the data
• A Master’s degree in Data Science, Finance, or a related field
Nice to have:
• Experience with SQL and/or a programming language (e.g. Python, R, or similar)
• Experience with ERP/CRM systems such as SAP or Microsoft Dynamics
• Familiarity with cloud data platforms (e.g. Azure Synapse)
• Understanding of key Finance and Accounting concepts and terminology

• A permanent contract.
• Next to a solid monetary compensation, receive a strong pension package.
• Benefit from a healthy work-life balance with 36 holiday days per year, based on a full-time contract.
