Our Data Analyst is responsible for fuel market analysis, reporting and pricing execution along with developing, maintaining and supporting data and pricing systems. We are seeking a highly analytical and data driven candidate who gets passion from seeing the impact their numbers play in an organisation.
Your role:
• Create informative, actionable and repeatable reporting / insights that highlights relevant fuel trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Execution of pricing through pricing systems. Pro-active issues identification, problem solving and development of recommendations for both long and short-term pricing strategies and tactics.
• Ongoing analysis of competitor pricing strategy changes and broader market dynamics.
• Maintenance and configuration of both existing and future fuel data platforms.
About you:
• High level of attention to detail, thorough analytical skills, rational decision making, objectivity, creativity, negotiation skills and being a “team player”.
• Well-developed interpersonal skills to turn data into insight/action
• Proficient in the management of data and use of analytical tools (e.g. SQL, Excel, Python or similar)
• Experience in analysis in a retail environment
• Proficient in being able to identify market-based issue and trends, conduct rigorous fact base analysis and develop sound recommendations
