Data Analytics Director
About this role
We're looking for an experienced and strategic Director of Data Analytics to lead our data analytics team. In this role, you'll be responsible for overseeing the development of data analytics dashboards, delivering insightful analyses, and uncovering root causes of discrepancies for our clients. The ideal candidate is a seasoned leader with a strong technical background and a proven track record of using data to drive business value, particularly within the retail, banking, and commerce sectors.
Job Description:
• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of data analysts, fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.
• Spearhead the design and development of innovative data analytics dashboards and reports that provide clients with actionable insights into their customer data.
• Conduct in-depth analyses to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies, and provide strategic recommendations to clients.
• Investigate and resolve data discrepancies, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of all data-related projects.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including client services, product development, and engineering, to ensure data solutions align with business objectives.
• Stay up to date with the latest trends and technologies in data analytics, business intelligence, and machine learning.
Required Qualifications:
• 15+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or a related field, with a significant portion of that time spent in a leadership role.
• Extensive experience working with clients in the retail, banking, and commerce industries.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire a high-performing team.
• Strong technical proficiency in Business Intelligence (BI) solutions and tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
• Deep understanding of data visualization best practice.
• Hands-on experience with statistical analysis, A/B testing, and root cause analysis.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex data findings into clear, compelling narratives for a non-technical audience.
Preferred Qualifications:
• A solid understanding of machine learning principles and their application in real-world business scenarios.
• Familiarity with Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its potential to enhance data analysis and customer experience.
• Experience in the Customer Experience Management (CXM) marketing technology (MarTech) space.
