Job Description:
Data Analysts provide leadership within their team, delegate or upskill others where appropriate, and contribute to project delivery by supporting data plans and meeting agreed deliverables. They work closely with senior stakeholders and across delivery teams to ensure insight is aligned to business needs.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Collaboration
• Manage, mentor, and support the development of analysts within the team.
• Act as a point of expertise within the data analytics community, contributing to best practice and knowledge sharing.
• Work collaboratively with other analytical and Agile delivery disciplines on projects.
• Build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Data Analysis & Insight
• Carry out complex and advanced data analysis, working with other teams where required.
• Translate business requirements into clear analytical outputs and actionable insights.
• Understand and challenge the distinction between stakeholder needs and wants.
• Produce ad hoc and recurring key performance indicators (KPIs).
Reporting & Visualisation
• Develop, maintain, and support complex reporting solutions and data visualisations.
• Prepare reports and dashboards for both internal and external audiences using business intelligence tools.
Automation & Data Management
• Identify opportunities to increase efficiency through automation and improved processes.
• Design, implement, and maintain automated data pipelines and reporting processes.
• Monitor, analyse, and audit data, including data quality, validation, and cleansing requirements.
Delivery & Governance
• Gather, document, and manage detailed business requirements using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Plan work proactively and engage stakeholders at the right stage of delivery.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of data security, governance, and data privacy requirements.
