Data Center Quotations Specalist
About this role
Accountabilities:
• Develop accurate and professional quotations for data center grey space equipment, including busway systems, PDUs, RPPs, STS, cable tray, racks, containment systems, and prefabricated infrastructure solutions.
• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, one-lines, and riser diagrams to build complete and precise Bills of Material aligned with project requirements.
• Collaborate with data center operators, colocation providers, contractors, architects, and engineers to validate scope, application fit, and technical accuracy.
• Support national data center programs and strategic pursuits in coordination with business development leadership to ensure consistency in pricing and deliverables.
• Engage with manufacturers and vendors to negotiate pricing and lead times to ensure competitive and timely proposals.
• Coordinate with internal teams including purchasing, project management, account management, and product specialists to optimize quotations and execution.
• Maintain accurate CRM records and track quotation lifecycle, revisions, pipeline status, and project updates.
• Analyze win/loss data and quotation performance trends to identify opportunities for improvement across customers, products, and manufacturers.
• Ensure timely follow-through on commitments, documentation, and deliverables to support a strong customer experience.
Requirements:
• Experience in wholesale electrical distribution or electrical contracting is required.
• Strong understanding of data center infrastructure, electrical distribution systems, and grey space configurations.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation including engineering drawings, specifications, and electrical diagrams.
• Proficiency in Excel and CRM or quoting tools, with strong discipline in data accuracy, version control, and documentation.
• Solid commercial awareness including pricing strategy, margin optimization, and competitive positioning.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to coordinate effectively across technical and commercial stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.
• Bachelor’s degree or two-year technical program strongly preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel occasionally (1–2 weeks per year).
