What you will accomplish with us

As a Data Governance Expert Advisor, you will be at the heart of our mission. Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting organizational units in adopting and applying data governance best practices;

• Contributing to the definition, evolution, and implementation of data governance frameworks, standards, and guidelines;

• Supporting pragmatic and progressive initiatives related to data cataloging, data quality, classification, and data lifecycle management for structured and unstructured data;

• Advising and influencing stakeholders on data governance, compliance, and data value–creation topics;

• Collaborating closely with IT, analytics, security, and compliance teams to ensure integrated data governance;

• Developing tools, templates, approaches, and training materials to foster the autonomy of business teams;

• Contributing to awareness efforts and the continuous advancement of the organization’s data culture.

What could accelerate your success in this role

We are looking for someone who:

• Has 5+ years of relevant experience in data governance, data management, or information management;

• Has worked in a complex or regulated environment (financial services, insurance — an asset);

• Holds a university degree in a relevant field;

• Has knowledge of recognized frameworks (DAMA, DCAM — an asset);

• Is recognized for strong expertise in data governance and data management;

• Stands out for strong influencing skills and excellent communication abilities;

• Demonstrates the ability to simplify and explain complex concepts to diverse audiences;

• Adopts a collaborative, structured, and solution-oriented approach;

• Has an advanced level of English and French proficiency, as the role requires regular collaboration, advisory support, and influence with technology, analytics, and corporate partners across the organization at a national level.
