Data Management Consultant
About this role
Accountabilities:
In this role, you will support end-to-end data management initiatives that strengthen data integrity, governance, and usability across defense-related programs. You will work closely with stakeholders to structure, validate, and maintain mission-critical datasets while ensuring compliance with established standards and requirements.
• Support data management strategies focused on inventorying and reviewing real property, equipment, and operational assets
• Perform data validation, cleansing, and analysis to ensure accuracy and consistency across datasets
• Assist in developing and maintaining documentation related to data processes and governance standards
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into data requirements and solutions
• Contribute to reporting, insights generation, and data-driven recommendations for operational improvement
• Support ongoing data analytics and data science initiatives as needed within client environments
Requirements
This role requires strong analytical capabilities, experience in data-focused environments, and the ability to work within structured government or consulting settings. You should be comfortable handling complex datasets and communicating findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience in data management or analytics
• 4+ years of experience in data management, data analytics, or data science roles
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance (required)
• Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, and structured data environments
• Experience working with large datasets and supporting reporting or analytics initiatives
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and analytical thinking
• Effective communication skills and ability to work in team-oriented environments
• Experience in government or defense-related data environments is a plus
