This role is critical to ensure site search is actively governed, continuously optimized, and aligned with evolving business and customer needs—bridging technology, content, and digital experience.
The Coveo Search & Merchandising Specialist will work very closely with Search product manager, and Analysts, and is responsible for the administration, configuration, optimization, and governance of Agilent’s site search experience using the Coveo platform. This role serves as the subject-matter expert for Coveo Search and Merchandising, ensuring search relevance, discoverability, and performance align with business priorities and deliver a consistent, high-quality customer experience across Agilent’s global digital channels.
Key Responsibilities
· Own day-to-day administration of the Coveo platform, including environment configuration, access, pipelines, and governance.
· Configure and manage search relevance and merchandising rules, including boosting, burying, pinning, synonyms, redirects, triggers, and partial-match behavior.
· Manage query pipelines, ranking strategies, facets, filters, and result behaviors to support business and customer experience objectives.
· Monitor, analyze, and optimize search performance using Coveo analytics (e.g., zero-result queries, engagement, click-through rate, and conversion impact).
· Partner with Content, UX/UI, SEO, and Digital Product teams to align search behavior with content strategy and experience design.
· Collaborate with IT and Architecture teams to support search integrations, indexing accuracy, ingestion stability, and platform health.
· Participate in UAT, regression testing, and release readiness activities for search-related enhancements and platform updates.
· Work with external partners, including Coveo Customer Success and implementation teams, to resolve issues and drive continuous optimization.
· Maintain search documentation, configuration standards, data dictionaries, and operational guidelines.
· Support Service Desk workflows by triaging and coordinating search-related incidents and enhancement requests.
· Support the collection and documentation of search‑related requirements and assist in translating them into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and configuration guidance.
· Support backlog refinement and prioritization for search relevance, merchandising, analytics, and platform enhancements in collaboration with product and delivery teams.
· Coordinate and support testing activities, including functional validation, UAT planning and execution, defect triage, and release sign‑off for search changes.
· Review search analytics and performance data to identify trends, issues, and optimization opportunities, and support reporting and insight requests.
· Provide continuity of search operations by supporting post‑release validation, incident analysis, documentation updates, and analyst coverage as needed.

Qualifications
Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in information systems, Digital, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
· Total experience of 5-7 yrs and 2-3 years of experience administering or optimizing enterprise search, discovery, or personalization platforms.
· Hands-on experience with Coveo Search, including merchandising and analytics capabilities, strongly preferred.
· Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable recommendations.
· Experience working in a global, matrixed organization.
· Strong communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams.
Preferred Skills
• Deep understanding of search relevance, information architecture, taxonomy, and digital merchandising concepts.
• Experience supporting search in complex B2B or highly technical product environments.
• Familiarity with analytics-driven optimization and experimentation.
• Comfort working with metadata, structured content, and platform configuration concepts.
Additional Details
This job has a full time weekly schedule. It includes the option to work remotely.
