Director, Data Engineering
About this role
Accountabilities:
Lead the design, evolution, and governance of the enterprise data platform, defining architectural patterns and engineering standards that ensure scalability, reliability, and performance across all data systems.
• Drive the implementation of DataOps, MLOps, and data observability practices to improve pipeline efficiency, data quality, and production stability.
• Oversee strategic data engineering initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and measurable business outcomes.
• Partner with analytics, data science, governance, IT, and business teams to deliver data products that enable consistent, trusted, and actionable insights.
• Establish and enforce best practices in data modeling, data governance, and enterprise information management.
• Mentor and guide data engineering teams, fostering technical excellence, continuous learning, and a strong product mindset for data.
• Stay ahead of emerging trends in data engineering and AI-enabled platforms to drive innovation and long-term capability development.
Requirements:
10+ years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, and large-scale data platform delivery, including leadership responsibilities.
• Proven track record of managing and growing high-performing data engineering teams in complex enterprise environments.
• Strong technical expertise in SQL, Python, PySpark, and Databricks-based data ecosystems.
• Deep understanding of DataOps, MLOps, data observability, and modern data pipeline best practices.
• Experience with data governance, data modeling, and enterprise data management frameworks.
• Strong business acumen, ideally with exposure to real estate, property management, or similarly complex operational industries.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across technical and non-technical audiences.

• Competitive annual salary: 160,000 – 195,000 USD
