This is an opportunity for a high-performing Enterprise Analytics leader to use their skills to improve health for a diverse community and re-design the healthcare experiences. This leadership role will participate in problem solving business cases across clinical, operations, and technology projects and processes to embrace a new way of doing things. This role will lead enterprise-wide reporting and dashboarding development, and data-driven decision-making capabilities across the health system. This leadership role will be responsible for guiding BI strategy, overseeing delivery of dashboards and analytic solutions, managing BI platforms, and partnering with clinical, operational, and financial leaders to ensure high-value insights that support organizational goals. The ideal candidate brings deep experience within healthcare environments, extensive expertise in BI toolsets, and strong leadership capabilities to build and mentor a high-performing reporting and analytics team. As we are transforming the underlying infrastructure, technology and the toolset and the operating model, the director of Business Intelligence is expected to have an entrepreneurial mindset to prioritize and define new experiences, lead the BI sub-vertical, work in cross-functional teams, and focus on change management to ensure optimal end-user experiences, adoption, and delivery of reporting solutions.

Responsibilities include:

• This hands-on leadership role will build and deliver highly performant and scalable self service reporting and dashboarding solutions across clinical, operational and other functional areas solving for a data driven organization driving the consumption of data from our enterprise data ecosystem and institutionalize self-serving BI best practices.

• Develop and shape the vision for modern enterprise analytics strategy aligned with health system priorities and promote data literacy among our business users.

• Establish enterprise reporting governance, standardization of KPI/Metrics, and best practices for reporting, dashboards, and analytics delivery.

• Guide and mentor a multi-disciplinary reporting and dashboarding team of analysts, developers, and data specialists in designing intuitive, actionable dashboards and reports that meet clinical, operational, regulatory and financial analytics needs.

• Evaluate and adopt new self-service reporting capabilities leveraging Generative BI capabilities to enhance organizational insight and efficiency.

• Collaborate with Product, Data engineering and AI vertical leaders within the Data & Analytics organization translating business needs to scalable data centric solutions

• A forward-thinking mindset to identify opportunities to improve existing analytics capabilities and adopt new technologies that enhance scalability and performance

• Drive adoption of data driven solutions and promote self-service analytics culture through training, education, and support for technical and non-technical users

• Manage, mentor, and develop a multi-disciplinary BI team of analysts, developers, and data specialists.

• Foster a collaborative, customer-focused culture that emphasizes transparency, communication, and continuous improvement.

• Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, translating organizational needs into actionable analytics strategies.

Qualifications include:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering or similar

• Minimum 12+ years of hands-on experience in modern self-service reporting and dashboarding capabilities that includes delivery and support for a health system or large healthcare organization.

• Deep expertise across the BI development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, data modeling, semantic layer design, testing, production support, and continuous improvement.

• Strong proficiency with SAP Business Objects, Microsoft Power BI, and related BI & data visualization platforms.

• Experience in developing custom BI solutions leveraging SDKs and tool kits like react.js

• Demonstrated experience working with provider system datasets, clinical and operational business workflows, and healthcare reporting requirements.

• Solid working knowledge of Epic EMR datasets, including Clarity/Caboodle, reporting structures, and integration points. • Proven leadership and people management skills, with experience building and developing high-performing reporting and dashboard development teams.

• Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving abilities.

• Proven track record in building and scaling multi-disciplinary BI teams, including recruitment, continuous learning and innovative problem-solving

• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines, with experience in agile or scrum methodologies Competencies:
