Director, Finance Analytics & Reporting
About this role
Accountabilities:
• Lead advanced analytics initiatives supporting finance, accounting, revenue operations, and broader business strategy.
• Manage and enhance financial reporting capabilities related to revenue, cash collections, memberships, commissions, and forecasting.
• Oversee the development, maintenance, and governance of cohort-based Lifetime Value (LTV) models used for forecasting, revenue recognition, and business optimization.
• Ensure compliance with SOX controls, audit reporting standards, IT general controls, access management, and governance processes.
• Design and implement scalable business intelligence and reporting solutions that improve automation, consistency, and operational efficiency.
• Serve as a strategic partner to finance leadership by translating complex analytical findings into actionable business recommendations.
• Lead cross-functional projects involving multiple departments, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and successful implementation.
• Mentor and manage a small analytics team while maintaining hands-on responsibilities including coding, analysis, dashboard development, and data modeling.
• Develop dashboards and analytical tools to monitor membership growth, financial performance, retention, and operational trends.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, Accounting, or another quantitative field.
• 15+ years of experience in analytics, financial reporting, business intelligence, or related data-focused roles.
• Advanced expertise with BI tools such as Tableau and strong data visualization capabilities.
• Expert-level SQL skills with experience building scalable data models and reporting environments.
• Strong programming skills in Python; familiarity with Databricks, Git, and version control tools preferred.
• Solid understanding of statistical methods, predictive modeling, and analytical techniques.
• Experience managing SOX compliance, audit processes, IT controls, and governance frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of financial and operational metrics including LTV, CAC, revenue, churn, retention, commissions, and cash collection.
• Proven leadership experience with the ability to guide teams through ambiguity and drive strategic execution.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to bridge technical and non-technical audiences.
