This role may require 5-10% travel to enhance collaboration and ensure successful completion of projects.
In this role, you will be part of a senior leadership team driving end-to-end understanding, re-design, and implementation of GO&SC Data Solutions. You will lead hands on Digital Transformation, Data Architecture, Business Process Improvement, and Program execution. As the Director of Data Solutions for Global Operations & Supply Chain (GO&SC), you will lead a team of Digital Transformation Leads who design and drive critical business data solutions and programs that deliver measurable gains in accuracy, speed, effectiveness, and cost of operations. These solutions will focus specifically on GO&SC Master Data & Transactional Data that significantly advance the day-to-day operations, intelligence, and decisions taken across the data ecosystem.
GO&SC data analysis domains include Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Detailed Scheduling, Shop Floor, Manufacturing, Inventory Management, Digital Transformation, Quality Inspection, Quality Management, Outbound Logistics, Inbound Logistics, Warehouse Management, Transportation Planning, Sales Order Management, Order Fulfillment and Backorder Management, and others. The successful GO&SC Data Solutions Director will cross functional boundaries, establishing partnerships with project stakeholders, resource leaders, and solution architects to bolster business value by driving the delivery of key data solutions. You will mentor and educate others about tools and processes that ensure high-level delivery of business benefits.
In your role, you will collaborate with teams and stakeholders to improve the design of existing data solutions, elevate day-to-day process execution, and resolve challenges hindering Global Operations & Supply Chain teams from providing consistent, world class customer experience. The domains of the Data being analyzed in Global Operations & Supply Chain include Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Detailed Scheduling, Shop Floor, Manufacturing, Inventory Management, Digital Transformation, Quality Inspection, Quality Management, Outbound Logistics, Inbound Logistics, Warehouse Management, Transportation Planning, Sales Order Management, Order Fulfillment and Backorder Management, and others.
You will be primarily responsible for establishing rapport and building successful partnerships amongst a key customer base with a focus on delivering a best-in-class data experience across the global operations and supply chain. You will:
• Take ownership, lead, and deliver benefits of key Global Operations & Supply Chain Data solutions, programs, and initiatives
• Lead and mentor a team of digital transformation specialists and other Value Stream Data leaders for the Global Operations & Supply Chain Data function
• Bring industry and supply chain expertise to help design, solve, and select effective solutions in seeking both short and long-term solutions to data challenges
• Champion the growth of knowledge and functionality surrounding Global Operations & Supply Chain Data through clear and effective communications with executives, leaders, internal business partners, and external stakeholders
• Collaborate with all functional areas to increase awareness of major initiatives and inclusion in the overall prioritization and business benefits process
• Oversee, develop, and vet full-scale solutions, designs, and plans containing milestones, detailed tasks, resource requirements, and timelines to deliver the critical business benefits from improvements and changes across the Data landscape
• Continually plan and monitor resource and skillset needs, especially with the acceleration of AI, required to design and deliver GO&SC Data and Digital Transformation
• Report and communicate progress and KPIs at multiple levels (executive, stakeholder, teams) while solving and managing risks and issues for resolution
• Develop and improve the internal knowledge base and experience in key business processes by leveraging and bringing best-in-class experiences to Global Operations & Supply Chain Data teams and functional partners
• Develops, inspects, mines, transforms, and model data to raise productivity, improve decision making, and gain competitive advantage
• Conduct statistical analysis on data and information to ensure correct predictive forecasting or classification
• Manage all aspects of end-to-end data processing utilizing customized report building functions of systems
• Maintain analytical systems, verify data accuracy, and function as a liaison to the business
MUST HAVE (Minimum Qualifications)
• Bachelor’s degree
• 10+ years of experience with a bachelor’s degree or 8+ years of experience with an advanced degree
• 7+ years of managerial experience
NICE TO HAVE (Preferred Qualifications)
• Domain expertise in multiple functional areas of Global Operations & Supply Chain plus broader practical experience across with Enterprise Data systems and management
• Demonstrated expertise leading an Enterprise Data Management function that enabled tangible business outcome realization through leveraging data as a competitive asset.
• Hands on proficiency in critical enterprise applications supporting supply chain, including ERP, Advanced Planning, PLM/Data Governance, Data Visualization/Business Intelligence, Shop Floor, Warehouse Management, Regulatory/Trade, and others
• Demonstrated successes in leading digital transformation and leverage project and program systems to identify, plan, execute, and deliver key business results
• Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to refine information and translate it into effective communication at multiple levels
• Experience in a large-scale, highly matrixed, global environment with multiple operating units managing both centrally to aligned common standards and locally when needed.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$184,800.00 - $277,200.00
This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).
This position is eligible for an annual long-term incentive plan.
The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance, Health Savings Account, Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Life insurance, Long-term disability leave, Dependent daycare spending account, Tuition assistance/reimbursement, and Simple Steps (global well-being program).
