DRAM Product Engineer - Mobile Product Design validation engineer

Responsibilities and Tasks

• Product Engineering for Low Power DRAM (LPDDR) products supporting Mobile, Automotive, and Data Center applications
• Perform failure analysis through data mining, tester analysis, and silicon characterization
• Drive and implement root‑cause fixes in collaboration with Circuit Design, running digital/analog simulation to identify design issue.
• Validate circuit functionality and electrical performance across different operating conditions
• Support NPI activities, including bring‑up, characterization, and cross‑site handover

• Own LPDDR‑specific validation items (e.g., power, timing margin, IDD, training‑related behaviors)

Required Skills

• Strong electrical testing skills using ATE platforms
• Solid Electrical Engineering fundamentals
• Experience with data mining and yield analysis
• Good understanding of IC design and semiconductor devices
• Programming capability: Python/C++/verilog/system verilog is preferred

• AI background is a plus
• Familiarity with LPDDR architecture and JEDEC specifications is a strong plus
• Experience in test data analysis automation or scripting is highly desirable

Cross‑Functional Collaboration

• Partner closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Marketing organizations
• Work with Micron Memory Japan and US Product Engineering teams
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance, Process Integration, Application Engineering, and Test Solutions teams

• Participate in cross‑site technical alignment and handover between Taiwan, Japan, and other global teams

Education

• Required: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
• Desired: Background in VLSI, Semiconductor Physics, or Nanotechnology
• Preferred: Japanese language capability is a plus

Successful candidates for this position will have:

• More than 5 years of experience in the semiconductor industry
• Proven ability to drive projects independently and deliver results
• Strong problem‑solving mindset with innovative thinking
• Good multitasking and organizational skills, with a servant leadership approach

• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced NPI environment with evolving priorities
• Strong communication skills for technical discussions and stakeholder alignment
