Electrical Engineering Senior Manager - Data Center Mission Critical
About this role
Accountabilities:
• Lead and manage the Data Center Mission Critical Electrical Design and Analysis Engineering team, ensuring high-quality delivery of complex engineering solutions for large-scale projects
• Oversee project scope, schedules, budgets, and deliverables in coordination with project managers while ensuring alignment with client expectations
• Assign engineering responsibilities, including Lead Responsible Engineers, and ensure balanced workload distribution across teams
• Maintain and enforce engineering quality standards, including review and approval of technical deliverables and continuous improvement initiatives
• Drive staff development through hiring, mentoring, performance management, and promotion of professional growth opportunities
• Provide technical leadership and resolve complex engineering challenges through internal expertise or coordination with subject matter experts
• Support business development efforts, including proposal preparation, client engagement, contract support, and market planning activities
• Manage staffing projections, resource allocation, and team performance, ensuring alignment with project demands and organizational goals
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• 10+ years of engineering experience, including at least 5 years in hyperscale or mission-critical data center environments
• Strong expertise in electrical design and analysis, including short circuit, coordination, and arc flash studies
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required
• Proven leadership experience managing engineering teams and delivering large-scale infrastructure projects
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with clients, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams
• Excellent technical writing skills, attention to detail, and strong understanding of engineering quality standards
• Demonstrated ability to build, motivate, and develop high-performing teams in a collaborative environment
• Willingness to travel up to 20% for client meetings, site visits, and project support activities
• Strong organizational, coordination, and decision-making skills with a proactive leadership style
