The Employee Experience Data Expert will ensure that Workday and Payroll systems work smoothly together and that people data is accurate, reliable, and continuously improving. You’ll play a key role in identifying and resolving integration and data issues across core HR processes like Organization Management, Hire-to-Retire, Rewards, and Absence, working closely with Product Owners, IT teams, and global partners to find root causes and implement lasting solutions. The role combines hands-on problem solving, and data quality ownership.

What will you be doing:

• Ensure correct integration between Workday (cloud Human Capital Management system) and Payroll systems, including investigation and resolution of incidents and root causes across Organization Management, Hire-to-Retire (H2R), Rewards, and Learning & Absence (L&A) processes
• Manage and troubleshoot integrations, including handling Payroll Interface files, using monitoring tools (cockpit, logs, data trackers), coordinating with external vendors, and working with Tier 2 support teams
• Investigate and resolve failed or missing payroll and downstream integrations to ensure accurate and complete data flow between HR, payroll, and related systems
• Drive continuous improvement of integration and People (HR) processes by performing Root Cause Analysis (RCA), challenging existing processes, and translating findings into Change Requests, Service Requests, and process improvements with Product Owners (system owners responsible for product design and prioritization)
• Own People Data Quality governance by monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), coordinating Core Data and HR functional teams, aligning with the Global Data team, and implementing actions to meet data quality targets
• Deliver stakeholder reporting and insights, including team performance, incident statistics, Service Level Agreements Root Cause Analysis outcomes, and improvement initiatives across departments
• Perform Workday operational governance activities, including contingent workforce management (hire, validate employee profiles, and end contracts), administration of security roles for high-risk access based on defined security rules, troubleshooting Single Sign-On (SSO—central login authentication) issues with IT security teams, and maintaining candidate pipeline tracking.

What you will bring:

• 2 - 3 years of experience in HR Information Systems area such as HR, Payroll or Master Data Teams.
• Advanced Excel – Pivot Tables, X / VLOOKUP; Conditional statistical functions such as COUNTIF, SUMIF. You must have the ability to work with big ranges of datasets (1000s of lines/100s of columns)
• SAP S/4HANA or Workday knowledge is an advantage / Systems integration knowledge is also an advantage
• Good analytical and problem solving skills – deep interest or passion in data analysis is welcome
• Excellent communication & stakeholder management skills – ability to engage and build strong relationships with partners and colleagues across multiple countries.
