Join BMI Group and contribute to the ongoing evolution of our Global Business Services (GBS) competence center, shaping the future with a diverse team in Vilnius! This role sits within our Global Master Data Management (MDM) team (part of the Data Office), whose primary focus is to ensure the organization's data assets are effectively managed, governed, and utilized to support strategic decision-making and operational excellence.

As the Functional Data Specialist, you will support the management, maintenance, and governance of master data across various systems and departments within the organization. This role ensures the quality and accuracy of master data, assists in data integration efforts, and contributes directly to data governance initiatives.

What you will be responsible for:

Data Maintenance: Assist in the creation, update, and deletion of master data in relevant systems. Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and completeness of master data records while performing regular data quality checks and audits.

Data Governance: Adhere to and support the implementation of data governance policies and procedures. Help to document and maintain data standards, definitions, and guidelines across multiple data domains (e.g., suppliers, materials, finance).

Data Quality: Conduct routine data quality assessments, identify data discrepancies, and support data cleansing and enrichment activities. Assist in the resolution of data quality issues and root cause analysis.

Data Analysis: Support data analysis initiatives to drive business insights and decisions. Generate regular and ad-hoc reports related to master data quality and integrity.

About you:

Desired Skills & Experience

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Data Management, or a related field.

Experience: 1–2 years of experience in data management, data quality, or a related field is preferred.

Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, combined with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Mindset: A proactive self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative, international team.

Nice to Have

• Experience with data management tools and software (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, SAP MDG, ServiceNow).

• Basic understanding of database concepts and SQL.

• Experience working with process transitions.

• German language skills.

The gross monthly salary for this role is between 2400 and 3100 EUR gross, with the final offer reflecting your qualifications and experience.
