Finning Canada is looking for a passionate and field experienced Red Seal Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanics to join our Mining Support Team based out of our Kamloops facility. In this role, you will be supporting projects, performing NEP, PCRs and overhauls on various customer sites.

Job Description:

Responsibilities:

We need Heavy Duty Mechanics who excel when working independently and can hit the ground running to create instant value for our customers. In this role, you will be supporting major projects on customer mine sites performing, PCRs, NEP, overhauls, etc.

• Project based work
• Completing required paperwork and maintaining clear customer communication
• Possibility of working directly with customer maintenance team on-site
• Interface with customer, product support and sales support
• Providing support with reference to on-site safety requirement
• Maintain Finning Customer Service Commitment
• Various related duties as required

Qualifications:

• Interprovincial Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Certification required (Red Seal preferred)
• 3+ years experience in assembly and disassembly, performing overhauls
• 5+ Years Off Road Mechanical Experience recommended
• Safety conscious team player with excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills with a high attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills, both written and verbal
• Understanding of the Caterpillar mining product line: 793D, 793F, D10T, D11, 24M is an asset

Important Details:

• This is a site position, on a 7 x 7 continuous shift rotation (potential day shift / night shift rotation, depending on customer requirements)
• A condition of employment requires the ability to obtain Customer Site Access (drug, alcohol and fitness testing) and the capacity to wear a respirator
