About this role

As an Index Insights Research Specialist reporting to the AVP, Quantitative Analysis, you'll play a meaningful role in supporting Nasdaq's fast-growing index business across Asia. You'll provide thought leadership, deliver research insights, and collaborate with clients and internal teams to maintain competitive positioning and drive growth in index-tracking products.

You'll thrive in this position if you're analytical, client-focused, and passionate about financial markets, with strong communication skills and the ability to work optimally across regions in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary research partner for existing clients and prospective clients across Asia, delivering tailored insights and competitive analyses.

• Represent Nasdaq Indexes by delivering thought leadership through industry events, webcasts, white papers, and client presentations.

• Analyze financial and statistical data to produce index performance analyses, back-tests, and customized research reports for institutional and retail investors.

• Partner with Global Sales & Distribution teams to support client development and ongoing benchmarking activities.

• Supervise competitive landscape trends, ETFs, and passive and active investment products to advise index innovation.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Computer Science, or related field.

• 5+ years of experience in index research, investment products, or related financial services.

• Strong understanding of exchange-traded funds (ETFs), financial products, and passive/active investment strategies.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence presenting to external audiences.

• Proficiency in English and at least one additional language (Mandarin, Korean, or Japanese preferred).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with institutional investors, asset managers, or index providers.

• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and ability to interpret sophisticated financial data.

• Willingness and can travel across Asia as needed.

This position will be located in Hong Kong and offers the opportunity for a hybrid work environment at least 3 days a week in-office, subject to change, providing flexibility and accessibility for qualified candidates.
