We are seeking a proactive and intellectually curious individual to join our global Knowledge function as a Knowledge & Information Services Assistant, supporting our renowned Antitrust, Competition and Trade (ACT) practice. This is an exciting opportunity to develop a strong understanding of a highly integrated global practice, working at the intersection of law, technology, and information management.
What You'll Do
As a key member of our team, you will be at the heart of our legal intelligence operations. You won’t just be supporting our lawyers; you’ll be empowering them. In this dynamic role, you will:
• Be on the pulse of the legal world: Help our team stay ahead by tracking legal, regulatory, and market developments, conducting research, and drafting clear, insightful updates and commentary for internal and external audiences.
• Curate our collective wisdom: Support the organisation and maintenance of our internal knowledge collections, ensuring valuable knowhow is captured, structured, and easily accessible across our global platform.
• Create and innovate: Assist in developing and enhancing knowledge products, including standard forms, templates, practice notes, and automated documents that support the practice.
• Become a resource guru: Build expertise in external databases and research tools, helping colleagues navigate resources efficiently, setting up alerts, supporting training initiatives, and contributing to evaluations of new products.
• Drive strategy and collaboration: Work closely with Knowledge Lawyers and colleagues across the global Knowledge & Information Services team, contributing to cross-practice initiatives and supporting vendor management and strategic projects.
Who You Are
We are looking for a motivated and collaborative individual who is eager to build a career in the legal knowledge and information sector. You are a natural problem-solver with a strong desire to learn and contribute.
What You'll Bring:
• A university degree or equivalent experience, supported by strong research and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication skills and fluency in written and spoken English.
• A confident, proactive approach with the ability to take initiative and manage your workload effectively.
• Exceptional organisational skills and strong attention to detail.
• Strong IT proficiency, including Microsoft 365 tools such as Excel.
• A collaborative mindset and the ability to build strong professional relationships.
• A good level of commercial awareness and interest in the legal sector.
We’d be especially excited to hear from you if you have:
• A degree in law, library and information sciences, or information management.
• For law graduates, completion of the LPC, bar exam, or equivalent.
• Experience in a law firm, professional services, or a similar knowledge, research, or library role.
• Familiarity with SharePoint, content publishing, or database management (full training will be provided).
