About the Role
Total Wine & More is seeking a Lead of HRIS & Analytics to join Human Resources team in our Bethesda, MD office. This role will play a critical role in supporting HRIS operations and advancing analytics capabilities through hands-on system expertise, data insights, and cross functional partnerships. This position supports enabling the organization to scale HR technology and reporting capabilities into 2026 and beyond. This role will report to the Sr. Manager, HRIS.
You will
• Lead HRIS operations by serving as the primary point of contact for system inquiries, troubleshooting, and configuration, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and continuity of HR systems.
• Plan and oversee system enhancements, integrations, and updates by leading testing efforts, validating data integrity, and ensuring successful deployment of changes.
• Advise and partner with HR stakeholders to gather requirements, document business processes, and translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.
• Design and deliver reporting and analytics solutions by building Workday reports, dashboards, and Power BI tools that enable data-driven decision making and operational insights.
• Oversee HR data analysis and reporting strategy by identifying trends, improving data governance practices, and driving adoption of self-service analytics across the organization.
You will come with
• Bachelor's Degree HR, Information Technology, Analytics, or a related field preferred.
• 3-6 years HRIS Workday experience, Workday ATS expertise is preferred.
• Proficiency in SQL, data modeling concepts, and analytics/visualization. Power BI is preferred and Python a plus.
• Workday certifications (e.g. Core HCM, Reporting/Analytics, Recruiting, Absence/Time Tracking, Performance/Talent, or Advanced Compensation).
• Deep Workday expertise, including configuration, business processes, and security.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret HR data and translate insights into action.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple, competing priorities.
• Strong stakeholder communication skills, with the ability to partner across HR, IT, and the business.
• Solid project and process management skills, with attention to detail and follow through.
