Job Description Summary
The Lead Manufacturing Analytics Specialist is a key member of the Auburn Site Strategy & Readiness Team, responsible for using advanced data and analytics to improve process performance and manufacturing assets in line with shop-wide business priorities. The role requires deep expertise in statistics, data mining, and analytics tools to turn complex data sources into actionable insights that drive Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC) improvements
In this role, you will leverage enterprise, process, and machine-level data to support continuous improvement and technological development. You will analyze data to uncover trends, relationships, and opportunities; participate in cross-functional teams to solve problems and optimize processes; and develop and maintain data analytics web pages and applications for internal customers across the site
Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
• Analyze data to identify insights, opportunities and relationships that support continuous improvement efforts
• Participate in cross-functional teams to solve problems and improve processes
• Create and maintain data analytics web pages and other applications for various internal customers
• Drive actions to ensure the integrity and validity of data sets (machine, process and inspection data)
• Serve as data analytics focal, teaching and helping others to use data analytics tools and resources
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering related field from an accredited college or university (or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years' hands on experience in a manufacturing environment)
• Minimum of 3 years’ hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment
Desired Characteristics
• Experience with manufacturing processes and technology, structured problem-solving methodologies
• Familiarity with best practices for software development, including testing and version configuration control
• Experience in Structured Query Language (SQL)
• Exposure to basic front-end web development, including Hypertext Markup Language (HTML), Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), and JavaScript (JS)
• Demonstrated experience in computer networking and machine and industrial controls such as Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)
• Strong background in setting defined and measurable priorities, taking technical ownership of assigned responsibilities and handling competing demands of the manufacturing environment quickly and efficiently
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with high sense of urgency
• Experience working both independently and as a leading productive member of a cross-functional team
• Have flexibility in hours/shift of work; ability to flex schedule for project task implementation, training and/or shop coverage needs
• Must be willing to travel up to 20%
• Prior process/manufacturing knowledge of Airfoils and Aviation High Pressure Turbine Blade manufacturing
