We’re hiring a Lead Systems Engineer to help scale our Test Systems Engineering organization by driving technical hiring, onboarding, and team development. In this role, you’ll combine your experience in test systems, engineering leadership, and program execution to build and grow high-performing, multi-disciplinary engineering teams.

You’ll partner closely with engineering and program leadership to meet aggressive hiring goals, while also mentoring engineers and ensuring alignment with technical standards, processes, and program needs. This is a unique opportunity for a senior engineer who enjoys developing talent, influencing hiring strategy, and shaping the future of engineering teams.

Location: Tucson, AZ (hybrid)

Clearance: U.S. Citizenship required; Secret clearance- Active

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support technical hiring efforts for test systems engineering teams

• Participate in and help drive candidate interviews, selection, and onboarding

• Partner with leadership to meet staffing goals for major engineering programs

• Collaborate with engineering leaders to define skill needs and hiring strategy

• Mentor and support development of early- and mid-career engineers

• Provide guidance on test systems engineering practices, processes, and standards

• Support workforce planning and organizational growth initiatives

• Contribute to program execution insights based on technical and staffing needs

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related STEM field

• 10+ years of experience in test systems engineering, systems engineering, or technical program leadership

• Experience leading teams as an IPTL, CAM, project lead, or technical lead

• Strong background in test systems, test equipment design, and engineering processes

• Experience working in cross-functional engineering environments

• Active Secret security clearance (U.S. Citizenship required)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with technical recruiting, hiring, or workforce planning

• Background mentoring or developing engineering talent and future leaders

• Experience with EVMS, IMS, and program execution tools

• Familiarity with Agile development processes

• Experience working in matrixed engineering organizations

• Knowledge of full lifecycle engineering (requirements through sustainment)

• Experience across disciplines (electrical, software, mechanical, systems)

Full compensation package is based on candidate experience and certifications

Pay Ranges

$57—$62 USD
