We’re hiring Lead Systems Engineers - Test & Integration to drive the development and execution of integrated test systems and environments supporting advanced aerospace and defense programs. In this role, you’ll lead cross-functional teams to design, integrate, and deploy test equipment and systems used in development, qualification, and production.
You’ll operate at the intersection of engineering leadership and program execution, owning technical delivery while working closely with program leadership to meet cost, schedule, and performance goals. This is an ideal role for engineers ready to step into technical leadership with real program impact.
Location: Tucson, AZ (onsite) Relocation Assistance Available.
Clearance: U.S. Citizenship required; Secret clearance (active or obtainable) Strong Preference for Active Clearance.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead technical execution of test systems and equipment development programs
• Manage and guide multi-disciplinary engineering teams (electrical, software, mechanical, systems)
• Partner with Program Manager/IPTL to deliver on scope, schedule, and budget
• Define system requirements and oversee design, integration, verification, and validation
• Support and lead design reviews, gate reviews, CCBs, and FRBs
• Track and report program metrics, risks, and technical status to stakeholders
• Oversee system integration, deployment, and troubleshooting in lab and production environments
• Mentor team members and delegate technical tasks to ensure successful execution
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related STEM field
• 5+ years of experience in test systems engineering, systems integration, or hardware/software development
• Experience with test equipment design, integration, and validation
• Background in full lifecycle development (requirements through deployment)
• Experience leading technical teams or major project workstreams
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance (U.S. Citizenship required)
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with automated test equipment (ATE) and production test environments
• Familiarity with Linux and Windows systems
• Hands-on experience with test and measurement equipment (oscilloscopes, network analyzers, data acquisition systems, etc.)
• Experience in troubleshooting complex integrated systems
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies, gate reviews, and EVMS
• Strong communication skills with experience presenting to technical and program leadership

$57—$62 USD
