Organizational Overview:
The role is part of Collections & Recovery Analytics and will be supporting Collections, Recovery and Servicing solutions. The team is focused on improving Collections, Recovery and Servicing Solutions performance, by building BI solutions to support Operations Leaders. This includes key performance indicators for cardholders and accounts, as well as metrics to support strategy development and execution
Role Summary/Purpose:
Design and deliver Tableau reporting solutions that provide actionable insights and data-driven decision support across Customer Service, Customer Solutions, Fraud, Collections & Recovery Operations. Leverage advanced analytics to help leaders proactively manage performance, optimize operations, and improve business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Partner and inspire: Collaborate with stakeholders across Customer Service, Customer Solutions, Fraud, Collections & Recovery organization to proactively gather and refine requirements for new BI or analytics solutions, applying a holistic approach and data visualization best practices.
• Serve as the business–technology bridge: Act as the primary liaison between Operations users and development teams, managing communications on project status, risks, issues, scope changes, and evolving requirements; lead resolution of open items and ensure timely, clear disposition updates.
• Deliver actionable insights: Design and build multi-layer Tableau dashboards and self-service analytics that clearly communicate operational performance and enable leaders to take timely course-correcting actions.
• Own quality and governance: Perform governance responsibilities to ensure consistency and accuracy; test, troubleshoot, and support BI products in development and production, and identify continuous improvement opportunities.
• Develop scalable solutions: As per the business requirements develop scalable BI or analytical solutions, which can be applied to various functions/clients with minimal changes.
• Communicate effectively: Translate business needs and technical constraints for both technical and non-technical audiences, clarifying design trade-offs and development considerations.
• Provide operational and ad hoc support: Deliver functional data research, report generation, and analytical assistance; maintain and support the report inventory by following job aids and publishing scheduled outputs as needed.
Required Skills/Knowledge:
• Bachelor's degree in STEM related fields, such as Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or Math with minimum 4+ years of experience between performing analytics; OR in lieu of a degree, 6+ years of experience between performing analytics.
• 4+ years of hands-on Experience in SQL /SAS with proven ability to leverage advanced algorithms and be efficient in handling complex/large data
• 4+ years of hands-on experience with data visualization tool (Tableau)
• 2+ years of experience in Python for statistical analysis, forecasting, data mining
• 4+ years of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Desired Skills/Knowledge:
• 4+ years’ experience in Financial Services (preferably Credit/Collections).
• Demonstrated track record of proactively shaping, delivering, and influencing adoption of BI/ analytical solutions and not just responding to requests.
• Ability to assess data and solution options, recommend the best approach, and drive implementation to completion.
• Strong communication and partnering skills, able to align stakeholders across multiple functions.
• Comfortable working both independently and within cross-functional teams; continuously identifies opportunities to improve processes and outcomes.
• Knowledge of the Synchrony application ecosystem is a plus

Work Timings: 2:00 to 11:00PM IST
This role qualifies for Enhanced Flexibility offered in Synchrony India and will require the incumbent to be available between 06:00 AM Eastern Time – 11:30 AM Eastern Time (timings are anchored to US Eastern hours and will adjust twice a year locally). This window is for meetings with India and US teams. The remaining hours will be flexible for the employee to choose. Exceptions may apply periodically due to business needs)
