Your role:
The Manager of Insights & Analytics is a cross-functional role that collaboratively partners with Marketing, Sales, Finance, Strategic Contracting, and Demand Planning to maximize the performance of UCAN (US/Canada) Pharma’s Core Generic & Anesthesia Gas business ($500M annually) to deliver on strategic goals, objectives, and commitments. This role will also support the success of all new product launches within the UCAN Pharma business.
The position is an individual leader responsible for providing business insights and analytics to support the UCAN Pharma Marketing organization. Through leadership of this Analytics & Insights role, you will deliver holistic summary guidance and perspectives across the Pharma portfolio.
The successful candidate will be self-driven with strong business acumen and can-do attitude; demonstrate the ability to influence, communicate effectively, and build relationships with all levels within the organization; and be highly focused on developing and elevating the analytics for the US Pharma organization. They will be analytical, organized, and knowledgeable about the pharmaceutical markets and businesses. They will have proven expertise working in complex environments and be able to drive constructive dialog/debate, support strong decision-making, secure support and drive alignment.
What you'll be doing:
• Analyzing, interpreting and translating data into actionable insights and recommendations - preparing detailed analyses utilizing various internal/external data sources to understand product specific and competitive market conditions
• Developing and recommending pricing/contracting strategies and alternatives for their portfolio; applying deep expertise of the UCAN Pharma business and market to support those recommendations with analytics; and monitoring the success (or recommending modification) of those strategies to enable the business to deliver on its commitments - driving our value proposition with customers, growing revenue, capitalizing on market events, and using data to support making the best decisions for the Business
• Gaining and leveraging understanding of key customers to develop practical and effective pricing recommendations to drive successful customer strategies and responses (i.e. for RFPs, price challenges, etc.)
• Stay well-informed of emerging external trends and market dynamics to identify signals in the marketplace that could impact our business
• Lead the weekly business review process for the Core Generics, Anesthesia, and New Product Launch portfolios to align on business performance, recommend changes to trends or business conditions so that timely adjustments can be made to commercial plans and forecasts
• Lead the tactical processes to recommended annual/mid-year list price increases and strategic list price decreases to leadership
• Developing, maintaining, redesigning, and/or enhancing key analytics tools, reports, and processes with an eye toward driving great effectiveness and efficiency
• Being a strategic thinker who operates with an entrepreneurial mindset and in a fully compliant manner to summarize and maximize the performance of the business
• Providing support to ensure Forecasts and Operating Plans are strategically aligned, have desired the impact to the business, and maximize return on investment

What you'll bring:
• Bachelor’s degree required, MBA preferred
• 5 years of broad experience in the medical device and/or pharmaceutical industry with emphasis on strategic and analytical roles in a multi-source product environment
• Ability to interpret together sales, market and other financial data from multiple (sometimes disparate) sources and synthesize that information in a manner that allows users to more clearly understand market dynamics, business impact, develop analytics-based strategies, and evaluate the success of those strategies
• Strong leadership skills; experience with building and managing highly effective teams in a cross-functional environment
• Takes initiative and works proactively with a positive attitude; self-starter with ability to work independently or collaboratively as part of a team
• Comprehensive understanding of the generic injectable market including product, contracting, and pricing strategies; product and customer profitability; and gross-to-net sales accounting
• Excellent analytical, verbal/written communication and presentation skills
• Demonstrated ability to work on multiple critical and complex projects with a wide-ranging group of constituents; proven track record of being able to prioritize and achieve successful outcomes; ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines
• General understanding of basic government pricing programs related to pharmaceutical products (i.e. FSS, PHS 340b) with the ability to understand (and engage subject matter experts) when commercial contracts may materially impact government pricing.

At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $112,000 to $154,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors.
