Manager of Investment Data & Performance Reporting

Position Overview
The Manager of Investment Data & Performance Reporting is responsible for the administration, optimization, and governance of the firm’s portfolio reporting platform, SS&C Black Diamond. This role will lead the design, management, and delivery of investment data and reporting infrastructure that supports advisors, investment teams, and firm leadership. The manager will oversee platform configuration, performance reporting frameworks, system integrations, and data integrity while managing a team responsible for reporting operations and platform support. This role will also play a key part in integrating newly acquired advisory firms, standardizing reporting architecture, and ensuring scalable data processes across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
• Serve as the primary administrator and internal expert for SS&C Black Diamond
• Serve as the primary contact for SS&C and manage vendor relationship, system configuration, users, permissions, and platform settings
• Manage system upgrades, releases, and platform enhancements
• Evaluate new functionality and recommend improvements to increase automation and advisor efficiency
• Coordinate issue resolution and platform support with SS&C and internal teams
• Maintain documentation of platform configuration, reporting logic, and system workflows
Investment Operations & Reporting
• Build and maintain performance reporting templates and reporting frameworks
• Maintain client reporting templates and advisor reporting dashboards
• Configure and maintain household reporting structures and portfolio groupings
• Manage and validate billing configuration including fee schedules, billing groups, and reporting outputs
• Support advisors with custom reporting requests and proposal reporting needs
• Train advisor teams on reporting capabilities and best practices
• Monitor performance calculations and investigate discrepancies across portfolios, benchmarks, and reporting outputs
Data Management & Integrations
• Monitor and maintain integrations between SS&C Black Diamond and key systems including - Custodians (Schwab, Fidelity, Pershing, etc.), CRM systems such as Salesforce, Financial planning tools such as Right Capital, Private investment platforms including CAIS and Arch.
• Define and maintain data governance standards for securities master data, benchmarks, asset classifications, and reporting datasets
• Implement data quality control processes to identify anomalies, reporting errors, or data inconsistencies
• Develop and maintain documentation including data dictionaries, reporting logic, and integration workflows
Acquisition Integration Management
• Lead integration of newly acquired firms into SS&C Black Diamond
• Map legacy reporting structures into standardized firm reporting architecture
• Configure new households, portfolios, asset classifications, and reporting templates
• Support advisor onboarding, training, and transition planning during integrations
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or related field
• 7–10+ years of experience in wealth management operations, investment reporting, financial data management, or related roles
• Deep hands-on experience administering and optimizing portfolio reporting platforms such as SS&C Black Diamond
• Demonstrated experience managing financial data structures including securities, portfolios, benchmarks, performance, and client reporting datasets
• Strong data analysis and data transformation skills, including advanced proficiency in Excel and experience working with structured datasets
• Proven ability to identify and resolve data integrity issues, system configuration problems, and reporting inconsistencies
Preferred
• Experience supporting private investment reporting and capital activity tracking through platforms such as CAIS, iCapital, etc.
• Experience implementing or remediate portfolio reporting systems within an RIA or wealth management firm
Technical Skills
• Experience working with financial data structures including securities master data, asset classifications, and benchmark mappings
• Experience with data visualization or BI tools such as Microsoft Power BI or Tableau
• Familiarity with SQL, APIs, or data integration workflows is strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of portfolio performance reporting, composite construction, and client reporting frameworks

Salary Range: $130,000 - $170,000 base plus bonus based on experience. Actual salary range could vary based on factors including but not limited to experience, subject matter expertise, geographic location where work will be performed, and the applicant's skill set.
