Job Overview:
ABC Legal Services is seeking a detail-oriented and analytically driven People Analytics Specialist to join our Human Resources team. In this role, you will serve as the central owner of HR data, reporting, and workforce insights — transforming raw data into actionable intelligence that supports our People strategy and organizational growth. You will play a key role in employee onboarding processes and systems, ensuring a seamless, data-informed experience for every new hire.
This is an exciting opportunity to build and shape the people analytics function at a fast-growing, mission-driven company with ambitious 5-year growth goals. You will work cross-functionally with HR, Operations, Finance, and executive leadership to deliver reporting, dashboards, and analyses that drive smart people decisions.
Key Responsibilities
HR Reporting & Data Analytics
• Design, build, and maintain recurring and ad hoc HR reports covering headcount, turnover, retention, time-to-fill, compensation, engagement, and other key workforce metrics.
• Serve as the primary administrator and reporting expert for UKG Pro (UltiPro), ensuring data integrity, user access, and optimal use of reporting and analytics features.
• Build and maintain dashboards and visualizations using BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or similar) to give HR leadership and the executive team real-time visibility into workforce trends.
• Partner with HR team members to identify data needs and translate them into scalable reporting solutions.
• Audit HR data regularly to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness across systems.
• Support annual and quarterly workforce planning cycles with data modeling and scenario analysis.
Onboarding Systems & Reporting
• Serve as the data and systems lead for the employee onboarding process, managing tracking, completion reporting, and continuous improvement of onboarding workflows.
• Develop and maintain dashboards that track new hire onboarding progress, 30/60/90-day milestones, and completion rates across departments and locations.
• Collaborate with L&D, HR Operations, and hiring managers to ensure onboarding data is captured consistently and feeding into broader people analytics.
• Identify gaps or bottlenecks in the onboarding experience using data and recommend process improvements.
• Administer and track onboarding modules and completion data in TalentLMS and UKG Pro.
HR Systems & Data Management
• Maintain and optimize HR data architecture across core systems, including UKG Pro, TalentLMS, Lattice, and any additional HR tech platforms.
• Serve as the HR team's primary point of contact for data integrations and system troubleshooting.
• Partner with IT on data governance, system upgrades, and reporting infrastructure improvements.
• Document data definitions, reporting methodologies, and data dictionaries to promote consistent use of HR metrics across the organization.
• Support HRIS data migration and system implementation projects as needed.
People Insights & Strategic Support
• Deliver data-driven insights to HR Business Partners and senior leaders on workforce trends, flight risk, engagement, and performance.
• Support compliance reporting, including EEO-1, VETS-4212, and other regulatory submissions.
• Contribute to employee engagement survey analysis and help translate results into meaningful recommendations.
• Build and maintain predictive models to support proactive talent management and workforce planning.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field — or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience in HR analytics, HRIS administration, or a related data-focused HR role.
• Strong proficiency with UKG Pro (UltiPro) — including report writing, workflows, and data administration.
• Demonstrated experience building reports and dashboards; proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, Power Query) required.
• Solid understanding of core HR data domains: headcount, turnover, compensation, benefits, and recruiting.
• Experience managing or supporting HR onboarding systems and processes.
• High attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy and integrity.
• Strong communication skills — able to translate complex data into clear, actionable narratives for non-technical audiences.
