About the job
As the Planning Analytics (TM1) Applications & Platform Owner, you will lead the strategic and operational management of Opella’s Planning Analytics platform and its hosted applications. You will define the technical architecture, ensure platform stability and compliance, and act as the key connection point between business stakeholders, support teams and vendors.
Your role will enable essential financial and business planning processes across Opella by ensuring a secure, scalable and high‑performing Planning Analytics environment. Given the variety of applications hosted—from small-scale to business‑critical—this is a highly transversal role requiring strong coordination skills and solid technical expertise.
Main responsibilities
Platform responsibilities
• Define and maintain the technical architecture of the Planning Analytics platform.
• Plan and execute platform activities including upgrades, versioning, patching and disaster recovery testing.
• Lead troubleshooting investigations, identify root causes and define technical solutions.
• Ensure optimal infrastructure use through proactive capacity planning.
• Implement and maintain monitoring tools and KPIs to track platform performance and availability.
• Ensure compliance with Opella’s quality, security and audit requirements.
• Manage vendor relationships related to infrastructure, licensing and platform services.
• Innovate to improve scalability, service delivery and cost efficiency.
• Maintain and enhance platform utilities, including the PA license reporting tool (Power BI or similar).
• Ensure platform readiness for all hosted applications, regardless of size or criticality.
Application responsibilities
• Act as the internal Application Owner, bridging Product Owners, Support Teams and business partners.
• Oversee day‑to‑day application operations including audits, data quality, MDM coordination and recurring tasks.
• Lead incident management for complex or critical cases.
• Perform key admin tasks: start/stop environments, backup/restore, cube management, security role configuration, calculation scripts and interface maintenance.
• Drive simplification and continuous improvement of applications.
• Manage the application lifecycle from development to decommissioning.
• Translate business needs into technical specifications in collaboration with finance and business teams.
• Maintain clear, up‑to‑date documentation for configurations, processes and changes.
About you
• Experience working with IBM Planning Analytics (TM1) in an administration, development or platform role.
• Strong understanding of TM1 architecture and application management.
• Proficiency in automation or scripting tools (e.g., PowerShell or similar).
• Experience with DevOps tools (e.g., Git, Ansible, GitHub Actions) and container platforms (e.g., OpenShift).
• Cloud experience, ideally with AWS.
• Good understanding of network fundamentals (e.g., load balancers, DNS, certificates).
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to lead technical investigations and collaborate effectively with multiple teams.
• Knowledge of SQL, Python or similar languages is a plus.
• Understanding of financial planning and analysis processes is an advantage.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., IBM Cognos TM1, AWS) are an asset.
