Platform Engineer - Multicloud
About this role
Accountabilities:
• Audit existing infrastructure to identify cloud-specific dependencies and define a structured migration and portability roadmap
• Design and implement cloud-agnostic abstractions across compute, networking, and storage layers to enable multi-cloud execution
• Maintain and evolve Kubernetes-based orchestration systems to ensure reliable workload portability across environments
• Collaborate with product and platform engineers to embed multi-cloud design principles into new system development
• Contribute to architectural decisions regarding cloud strategy, infrastructure evolution, and colocated deployment options
• Support ongoing improvements to platform scalability, resilience, and operational efficiency across distributed systems
Requirements:
• 8+ years of experience in platform engineering, infrastructure engineering, or distributed systems roles
• Strong hands-on experience operating Kubernetes in production across multiple cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Proven experience with multi-cloud, cloud abstraction, or infrastructure re-platforming initiatives
• Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Pulumi or similar technologies
• Strong systems design skills with deep understanding of compute, networking, and storage layers
• Experience working in async, distributed, or globally remote engineering teams
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly across technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Strong ownership mindset with comfort operating in ambiguous, fast-paced environments
• Nice to have: experience contributing to or building developer platforms at scale
