The Opportunity

The Ad Research & Insights position is a senior, strategic role responsible for designing and executing primary research initiatives that demonstrate the effectiveness of advertising across HP Media Network. This individual will translate data and research findings into compelling insights, narratives, and case studies that enable advertisers to understand the value of HP’s Media Network’s offerings and empower the Ad Sales organization to close new business.

As the subject‑matter expert on advertiser research and measurement storytelling, this role will surface data‑driven proof points that showcase campaign impact, uncover insights into audience behavior, and elevate HP Media Network’s position in the marketplace through credible, actionable insights.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a rapidly growing business within a fast-paced performance-oriented environment, where you will serve as a trusted authority in Ad Research and a key enabler of advertiser confidence, sales effectiveness, and the continued growth of HP Media Network’s revenue streams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute a wide range of primary research studies (e.g., brand lift, purchase intent, messaging effectiveness, audience insights), either in-house or through 3P vendors, to assess advertiser campaign impact across the HP Media Network.

• Own the end-to-end research process, including methodology design, kickoff calls, vendor coordination (as applicable), data analysis, interpretation, and synthesis of findings to present results both internally and externally

• Translate research outcomes into clear, persuasive case studies, narratives, and sales-ready materials that demonstrate campaign effectiveness and advertiser ROI.

• Partner closely with Ad Sales, Client Solutions, Ad Operations and Product Marketing teams to understand advertiser objectives and align research outputs to active and prospective sales priorities.

• Develop standardized frameworks and best practices for measuring and communicating ad effectiveness across HP Media Network formats and environments.

• Identify trends and patterns across research studies to generate network-level insights that highlight the overall performance and differentiation of HP Media Network advertising.

• Present research findings and insights to internal stakeholders, including sales leadership and cross-functional partners, ensuring clarity, credibility, and actionability.

• Continuously evaluate and improve research methodologies, measurement approaches, and insight storytelling to keep pace with industry standards and advertiser expectations.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years in Digital Media, with experience in advertising research, media insights, or measurement with demonstrated expertise in primary research execution

• Deep knowledge of advertising effectiveness measurement, including brand lift, audience insights, and campaign impact studies

• Knowledge of key ad performance measurement partners and their methodologies

• Proven experience translating complex, or ambiguous, data and research findings into compelling insights, case studies, and client-facing narratives

• Strong analytical acumen with the ability to synthesize quantitative and qualitative data into clear, actionable conclusions

• Proven experience partnering with Ad Sales or client-facing teams, supporting go-to-market strategies and new business development through insights

• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders through data-driven storytelling

• Highly organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple research initiatives simultaneously in a fast-paced environment while maintaining astute attention to detail.

• Familiarity with digital media ecosystems, ad formats, industry terminology, and measurement challenges across devices and channels

• Understanding of attribution methodologies and measurement limitations across channels & devices

• Exceptional problem-solving skills

• Thrives in a team environment and collaborates well with others

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Streaming entertainment (AVODs, SVODs, FAST) experience is preferred

• Experience in supporting enterprise-level accounts (i.e. Fortune 100 with $MM budgets) is highly preferred

• Media agency experience is a plus

• Understanding of retail media, commerce media, CTV, OTT, and/or native advertising trends

About This Role

Reports to: Sr. Manager, BD & Strategic Ad Tech Partnerships

Department: HP Media Network

Growth Opportunity: This role presents the opportunity to grow as a strategic leader by defining advertiser research frameworks that directly shape HP Media Network’s GTM strategy and long‑term monetization.

The pay range for this role is $130,700 to $205,200 USD annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United States of America candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
