As a Product Engineer FPS Onshore , you will support New Product Introductions (NPI), New Technology Introductions (NTI), and ongoing product operations. You will work closely with experienced engineers to design, qualify, and sustain Reinforced Thermoplastic Pipe (RTP) products. This role is hands‑on and central to the long‑term success of the FPS Onshore portfolio.
You will contribute to engineering design, testing, documentation, and continuous improvement while collaborating with Operations, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain teams.
As a Product Engineer, you will be responsible for:
• Creating detailed engineering test plans and test reports with strong technical writing and documentation skills
• Developing material and engineering specifications using industry standards and internal requirements
• Building engineering calculation models in Excel based on thin‑wall pressure vessel theory
• Creating SolidWorks models, assemblies, and drawings aligned with engineering calculations
• Preparing BOMs, Engineering Change Requests, and working within PLM systems
• Executing design, analysis, and evaluation tasks using sound engineering principles
• Supporting qualification testing, data analysis, and documentation for new and existing products
• Maintaining engineering, testing, and project qualification documentation
• Participating in quality activities including RCA, corrective actions, and non‑conformance reviews
• Collaborating with Operations and Manufacturing on NPI, NTI, and product improvements
• Supporting LEAN and continuous improvement initiatives
• Communicating with direct team members and presenting updates on metrics, project status, and research
• Working with cross‑functional teams to support product sustainability and operational readiness

To be successful in this role you will:
• Have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college
• Have strong understanding of engineering fundamentals (statics, dynamics, mechanics, machine design)
• Be able to define engineering problems and translate them into physics‑based models
• Have experience with CAD tools (SolidWorks preferred)
• Have strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Be detail‑oriented with strong documentation and communication skills
• Be comfortable working independently and within cross‑functional teams
• Have proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and basic data analysis
Desired characteristics:
• Experience with RTP or similar composite/pressure‑containing products
• Familiarity with API 15S (preferred but not required)
• Experience with PLM systems and engineering change processes
• Exposure to manufacturing or testing environments
