Product Manager, Event Management & Intelligence (AI)
About this role
QUINDAR
Quindar builds modern, cloud-native satellite mission operations software with a simple mission: to operate satellites like servers. Our platform replaces fragmented, legacy ground systems with an integrated, automation-driven approach that brings modern software velocity to space operations.
We're a small, fast-moving team with deep aerospace and software roots, energized by big challenges and motivated by the impact we have on real missions in this next chapter of the Space Age. If you want to work with sharp, ambitious people who push boundaries, move quickly, and are excited to take space operations to the next level, Quindar is the place to do it.
Product Manager, Event Management & Intelligence (AI)
We’re looking for a technically-minded Product Manager to join our growing team and lead the evolution of Quindar’s Event Management and Intelligence capabilities, with a strong focus on applying AI/ML to mission operations.
In this role, you’ll focus on how mission events are captured, contextualized, surfaced, and acted on across satellite operations. You’ll help operators move from raw data and system signals to clear, actionable insights—reducing noise, improving response times, and enabling more autonomous operations over time.
You’ll own key parts of the product lifecycle—from discovery and prioritization to launch and iteration—working closely with engineering, design, and customer-facing teams. Your work will directly impact how our customers monitor their systems, detect off-nominal behavior, and make critical mission decisions.
Our customers operate large, complex satellite constellations—each with unique workflows and operational constraints. Quindar provides a unified platform to streamline and accelerate mission operations. As a Product Manager, your goal is to ensure operators get the right signal at the right time, with the right context to act.
You should be comfortable diving into event pipelines, incidence response tooling, and AI technology, while keeping user empathy and product clarity at the center of your decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategy & Vision: Own the roadmap for Event Management & Intelligence, including real-time event processing, alerting, anomaly detection, and AI-driven capabilities. Define product requirements, user stories, and success metrics that align with customer needs and company goals.
- Execution: Collaborate with engineering and design to deliver features such as event ingestion, filtering, alerting, visualization, and workflow integration. Ensure solutions are scalable, reliable, and aligned with real mission needs.
- User Understanding: Develop deep empathy for operators and mission teams by conducting user research, shadowing workflows, and analyzing operational data. Translate complex user needs into intuitive, high-leverage product capabilities.
- Operational Intelligence: Improve how events are prioritized, correlated, and presented to users. Focus on reducing alert fatigue, improving signal-to-noise ratio, and enabling faster root-cause understanding. Identify opportunities to introduce smarter automation where it meaningfully improves workflows.
- Trust & Explainability: Ensure AI-driven features are transparent, interpretable, and reliable. Design experiences that help users understand why something was flagged and build confidence in automated or recommended actions.
- Metrics & Iteration: Define and track key metrics such as signal-to-noise ratio, alert latency, detection accuracy, and user response times. Use data to continuously improve product performance and user outcomes.
- Leadership: Serve as the subject matter expert on event-driven systems, AI / intelligence, and the competitive landscape. Advocate for scalable, intelligent solutions that reduce operator burden and improve mission outcomes.
- Collaboration: Drive alignment across cross-functional stakeholders, including engineering, product management, design, customer success, and leadership. Communicate clearly across technical and non-technical stakeholders and ensure shared understanding of priorities and tradeoffs.
What Makes This Role Unique
- You’ll define how AI is applied in real-world, high-stakes operational environments
- You’ll work on problems where signal vs. noise truly matters
- You’ll help transition customers from manual monitoring to automated response to Lights Out autonomous operations.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of product management experience, preferably in SaaS, AI/ML products, or aerospace/space operations.
- Active U.S. Security Clearance required (Secret or higher; TS/SCI strongly preferred).
- Experience building or working with event-driven systems, observability platforms, real-time data pipelines, or AI/ML-driven features (e.g., anomaly detection, recommendations, classification systems)
- Proven ability to own product roadmaps and deliver features end-to-end
- Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment with high ownership
ITAR REQUIREMENTS
- To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
