The Product Research Lead supports the Product Marketing team in the development of strategic marketing plans for TRIMEDX solutions/products. This is accomplished through setting product research direction and strategy across the product lifecycle with the utilization of qualitative research, behavioral science, product activation and commercial storytelling.
Responsibilities include research activation across the product lifecycle: from identifying behavioral barriers to embedding nudges within products, to translating findings into compelling product marketing narratives, collateral, and executive-ready materials usings commercial storytelling.
This position is part of the Product Marketing team, and will also work closely with Product Management, Product, IT Development, Commercial, company leadership and others.
Location: Eastern or Central Time Zone; with close proximity to a major airport. Our Central Office is located on the northwest side of Indianapolis. Position requires 25% travel to meetings & client hospital sites.

Responsibilities
Research Activation & Behavioral Implementation
• Translate qualitative research insights into embedded product changes and behavioral nudges.
• Design and implement experimentation frameworks (A/B testing, field experiments, RFP testing).
• Partner with Product and Engineering to operationalize findings long-term.
• Define success metrics tied to adoption, engagement, retention, and behavior change.
• Track and report measurable ROI of research investments.
Empathy Based Qualitative Research Support
• Support and extend human-centered design research initiatives.
• Identify behavioral barriers to adoption, workflow friction, and decision bottlenecks.
• Develop experimentation roadmaps from research outputs.
• Ensure insights do not remain siloed or repeatedly re-solved across teams.
Product Marketing Integration
• Partner with Product Marketing to shape differentiated value propositions grounded in behavioral evidence.
• Translate research findings into product positioning, messaging frameworks and sales enablement materials through the creation of executive level presentation materials (PPT and other), providing thought leadership content and building narratives connecting product solutions to customer needs.
Experimentation and Metric Leadership
• Design and oversee behavioral experiments across product features, L&D upgrades, innovation pilots with the utilization of AI enablement features in Commercial proposals (RFP A/B testing).
• Establish repeatable activation frameworks (“What comes next”) after research translating into actionable next steps.
• Develop dashboards and reporting mechanisms to demonstrate value creation.
• Develop and track ROI of research investments to demonstrate increase in value, and at the same timer reduce redundant research cycles with continuous improvement strategies.
• Improve product adoption and engagement, strengthen commercial differentiation, and embed behavioral science into product and marketing strategy.
• All other duties as assigned.
Skills and Experience
• At least 5 years of experience in behavioral science, UX research, product marketing or related strategic roles is required.
• Experience in medical devices and/or the broader healthcare industry, within Clinical Engineering or the Management of Clinical Assets is preferred.
• Familiarity with AI-enabled workflows is preferred, including experience supporting AI feature positioning and adoption strategies.
• Demonstrated experience implementing behavioral nudges with digital products.
• Strong experimentation design experience (A/B testing, quasi-experiments).
• Strong written, verbal and presentation communication skills, including advanced PowerPoint storytelling skills (executive-level).
• Familiarity and comfort functioning in a matrixed organizational environment and the ability to work successfully cross-functionally (especially within Product and Engineering).
• Ability and experience in translating research into measurable business outcomes.
• Travel requirements at 25% fluctuating by 10-15% based on operational needs.
Education and Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in business or related degree is required, or equivalent experience.
