About This Opportunity

We have a fantastic opportunity available to join a small, close‑knit and highly collaborative team within the Institute for Teaching and Learning Innovation (ITaLI), where your work will be visible, varied and genuinely impactful.

As the Professional Learning & Teaching Recognition Admin Officer, you will deliver high‑quality administrative and customer‑focused support across a diverse portfolio of professional learning, teaching recognition and accredited programs.

You’ll work closely with both academic and professional colleagues, help deliver meaningful programs and events that directly support educators and advance UQ’s commitment to teaching excellence.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Supporting University‑wide professional learning, teaching recognition and teaching excellence initiatives that positively impact staff

• Administering flagship programs including HEA@UQ, the Graduate Certificate of University Teaching Practice, teaching awards and innovation grants

• Providing high‑quality advice and administrative support to academic and professional stakeholders within a collaborative ITaLI team

• Delivering a varied, people‑focused role combining event coordination, academic administration, data accuracy and continuous improvement

About You

• A relevant qualification or equivalent experience in administration within a dynamic or fast‑paced environment

• Strong ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines and maintain a high level of accuracy

• Confident written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders

• A proactive approach, demonstrating initiative, sound judgement and the ability to work independently and collaboratively

• A strong customer service mindset, with empathy and professionalism when supporting students and staff
